Dr Jalal Kamoun (Podiatrist)

Senior Podiatrist (Bachelor of Podiatry)

Experience

Jalal is a Graduate Podiatrist with a strong interest in lower-limb biomechanics and helping people move more comfortably and confidently. He completed his Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine at Western Sydney University, where he developed a strong foundation in the assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment of foot and lower-limb conditions.

Throughout his training and early clinical career, he's gained experience across a wide range of healthcare settings, including private practices such as Canberra Ingrown Toenail Clinic and Wollondilly Podiatry, as well as hospital placements at Concord, Port Kembla, and Bankstown Hospital. This exposure has allowed him to work with diverse patient populations and manage both routine and more complex podiatric presentations.

What he enjoys most about podiatry is working through the process of identifying the underlying cause of a problem, reaching a clear diagnosis, and developing a treatment plan that genuinely improves a patient’s quality of life. In practice, he performs procedures such as partial and total nail avulsions, ingrown toenail treatments, and GT nail procedures, and utilises technologies including 3D foot scanning for custom orthotics, shockwave therapy, and laser therapy to support effective, evidence-based care. Clear communication and patient education are central to his approach, ensuring patients feel informed and confident throughout their treatment.

Outside of work, he enjoys staying active at the gym, discovering good coffee, and spending quality time with his family, wife, and daughter. He's also passionate about teaching Arabic and Quran, which he finds both rewarding and grounding. These interests help him stay balanced and bring a calm, approachable energy into his clinical practice.
